The film originally titled Vanara has been renamed Vanaveera following objections raised by the censor board. The makers are now preparing for a grand worldwide theatrical release on January 1 as a New Year special. Vanaveera marks the debut of Avinash Thiruveedhula as both hero and director. Simran Choudhary plays the female lead, while Nandu appears as the antagonist. The film is presented by Shanthanu Pathi and produced under the Silver Screen Cinemas banner by Avinash Buyani, Alapati Raja and C. Ankit Reddy. Dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra and music by Vivek Sagar add strength to the film, which is made as a mythological rural drama. The trailer of Vanaveera was launched in a grand event held in Hyderabad.
Speaking at the event, members of the team shared their confidence in the film. Actors Harsha and Bobby said the story focuses on a son’s struggle for his father and has all the elements to connect with family audiences as well as youth. Cinematographer Chota K. Prasad revealed that the team worked on the film for nearly two years and requested media support to take the new title Vanaveera to the audience. Actress Simran Choudhary described the film as a complete family entertainer filled with fun, mystery, romance and thrilling moments, expressing strong faith in Telugu audiences.
Producer Shanthanu Pathi explained that the title change became unavoidable due to censor objections, even though the original title was registered properly and promoted widely. He assured that Vanaveera feels like a big film on screen despite being made on a limited budget. Guest producer Rajesh Danda praised the trailer, especially the high-quality CGI and appreciated the dedication of Avinash, who fulfilled his father’s dream by becoming both a hero and a director. Hero-director Avinash Thiruveedhula spoke emotionally about the challenges faced by small filmmakers due to last-minute title changes. While respecting the censor board’s decision, he said the objections should have come earlier. He expressed full confidence in the film’s content and promised that Vanaveera will not disappoint audiences when it releases on January 1.
