Trisha with Karthi Once Again?

Tamil actor Karthi and leading actress Trisha Krishnan are reportedly set to reunite on screen, creating a buzz in Kollywood. The makers of Karthi’s 31st film, directed by Mohan Raja, are said to be considering Trisha for the female lead. Initially, Nayanthara was the first choice, but if she is unavailable, Trisha is likely to be finalized. The film is expected to be a commercial entertainer with a family-oriented storyline. However, since the project is still in its early stages, an official confirmation is awaited.

Karthi and Trisha previously impressed audiences with their performances as Vandiyadevan and Kundavai in Ponniyin Selvan directed by Mani Ratnam. Their on-screen chemistry received widespread appreciation, raising expectations for their possible reunion. Currently, Karthi is busy with multiple projects, including Sardar 2 directed by P. S. Mithran, and another film tentatively titled Karthi 30, directed by Kalyan Shankar and starring Meenakshi Chaudhary. This project is being planned for a Sankranti 2027 release. An official announcement about Karthi 31 is expected soon.
