

Tollywood is witnessing a strong run at the box office after a long gap, with several notable releases in August receiving positive responses. Ravi Teja’s ‘Irumudi’, directed by Shiva Nirvana, has emerged as a major success. The film reportedly collected around ₹47 crore in its first two days, while several theatres witnessed houseful shows over the weekend. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead, with Baby Nakshatra in a key role.
Meanwhile, Suriya’s family drama ‘Vishwanath and Sons’, directed by Venky Atluri and starring Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, is also performing strongly at the box office. The makers, Sithara Entertainments, have reportedly announced that the film has crossed ₹200 crore in worldwide collections. Suriya and Mamitha Baiju’s performances, along with Venky Atluri’s direction, have particularly connected with family audiences.
