It has been five years since Roshan, the son of hero-actor Srikanth, made his debut with Roshan Make. After the release of 2021 Pelli Sandadi, the young hero didn’t appear on screen again. Once he accepted Champion in Swapna, he committed solely to this project, without taking on other films. This pan-India movie, produced by four production houses, reportedly has a budget of around ₹50 crores, according to insider sources. Director Pradeep Advaith is confident and continues shooting diligently despite delays. The release date has not yet been finalized.
Meanwhile, competition among young heroes is intensifying. Suma, son of Rajeev Kanakala, is already set to appear in his second film Mowgli with a big studio like People’s Media Factory. Social media star Mauli, famous from Little Hearts, has four films lined up. Actress Sreelila, who debuted with Roshan Make, has completed double-digit films and is also testing her luck in Bollywood. With so many contemporaries racing forward, Roshan must speed up to win this competition and claim the title of Champion.
Reports suggest Roshan is also tied up in a project with hit-series director Shailesh Kolanu, though official confirmation is pending. Delays in his big-budget film with Mohanlal in Vrishabha have also kept him waiting. After five years, moving so slowly is risky. Having strong faith in a single film is fine, but if you let time melt away, others in the race will pull ahead. That’s why he needs to urgently shift from a steady pace to a sprint.
