Producer Naga Vamsi’s latest film, Epic – First Semester, brought the popular Baby pair, Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, together once again. Directed by debutant Aditya Hasan, the romantic comedy failed to make a significant impact at the box office during its theatrical run. The film is now set to make its digital debut on Netflix today. However, ahead of its streaming premiere, the platform’s listing caught viewers’ attention by displaying the title as Epic Classic – First Semester instead of the original name.
The unexpected title change has sparked speculation online, with viewers wondering whether it is merely a technical error or an intentional update. It has also raised questions about whether the OTT version will include additional scenes or an alternate cut compared with the theatrical release. The reason behind the change is yet to be confirmed and may become clear once the film starts streaming. Jointly produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas banners, the film features music by Hesham Abdul Wahab and is set for a multilingual release on Netflix.
