Veteran actor Jagapathi Babu has said that among the 100-plus films he has acted in since Legend, only six stand out in his memory, and Peddi is one of them. He stated that this film could even become his number one project. He plays the character Appalasuri in Ram Charan’s Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vridhi Cinemas, set for release on June 4.
Jagapathi Babu said Appalasuri is one of the most emotionally satisfying and powerful roles of his career. He revealed that the prosthetic makeup process was extremely challenging, taking hours daily and even causing skin irritation. He praised Ram Charan’s dedication, director Buchi Babu Sana’s clarity, and the technical team including Rathnavelu and A.R. Rahman. He also expressed that working on Peddi gave him rare artistic satisfaction and called it a significant film for the industry.
