The title of 'VD14' will be revealed on Republic Day

The makers of Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film have given fans an exciting update ahead of Republic Day. The much-awaited project, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Rahul Sankrityan, will have its official title revealed on January 26, 2026.

Set in the backdrop of British India during the 19th century, the film is based on real historical events that took place in the Rayalaseema region between 1854 and 1878. Designed as a large-scale period drama, the film promises an intense narrative rooted in history and emotion.

This marks the second collaboration between Vijay Deverakonda and director Rahul Sankrityan after their successful film Taxiwaala. It is also Vijay’s third project with Mythri Movie Makers, following Dear Comrade and Kushi.

Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead opposite Vijay Deverakonda, making this their third film together. The recently released poster, featuring the tagline The Legend of the Cursed Land, has further heightened curiosity among fans.

Music for the film is composed by the renowned duo Ajay–Atul. Rahul Sankrityan recently assured fans on social media that the film would fully satisfy Rowdy fans, sparking celebrations across Vijay Deverakonda’s fan base.
