The makers of The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, have written to the Telangana government seeking permission to increase ticket prices and conduct special premiere shows. The production house People Media Factory has requested approval for a premiere show on January 8 at 9 PM, with ticket prices set at ₹800 (plus GST) in single-screen theatres and ₹1000 (plus GST) in multiplexes. The makers have also sought permission for an early morning 4 AM show on January 9. Additionally, they have requested a hike in regular ticket prices from Day 1, proposing an increase of ₹102 in single screens and ₹132 in multiplexes. The request has been formally submitted to the Cinematography Minister and the Special Chief Secretary (Home), though no response has been received from the Telangana government so far.
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is generating strong buzz with its unique blend of horror, mystery, and fantasy. Recently, the song Nache Nache and Trailer 2.0 were released, offering glimpses into the film’s intriguing narrative. The story revolves around Raja Saab’s entry into his ancestral haveli, filled with hypnotic architecture, eerie objects, and dark supernatural forces linked to his grandfather. The trailer showcases Prabhas in multiple avatars - both fearful and fearless - culminating in a striking look reminiscent of a Joker-style makeover. With expectations running high, the film is positioned as one of the most anticipated festive releases.
