The highest-grossing Telugu film of the year is Pawan Kalyan's They Call Him OG, which debuted on September 25 and made close to Rs 300 crore worldwide. Because of its extreme violence and mature content, the action drama was initially given a "A" certificate by the censor board, which prohibited viewers under the age of 18.
Without any changes, the same version started streaming on Netflix on October 23 because the service doesn't have any age-based restrictions. But the movie has changed a lot for its impending TV debut. In order to receive a U/A certificate that is appropriate for family audiences, They Call Him OG has undergone a re-censorship process. The original version has been edited to remove about ten minutes of footage, mostly of violent scenes.
The updated television version is 143 minutes and 52 seconds long, compared to the theatrical cut's 154 minutes and 15 seconds. The goal of the edited version is to make the movie more suitable for home viewing, particularly for families with young children. Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Neha Shetty, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, and Prakash Raj are among the cast members of the Sujeeth-directed movie. composed by Thaman S. and produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainments.
