The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) to effectively combat digital movie piracy. As part of this collaboration, a comprehensive action plan has been devised to enable real-time monitoring of piracy across websites, social media platforms, messaging apps, IPTV streams, and mobile applications, along with swift takedown of pirated content and coordinated legal action.
The MoU aims to prevent heavy financial losses to the film industry caused by piracy immediately after movie releases by ensuring faster information sharing and stronger coordination between law enforcement agencies and the film industry. The meeting was attended by Telangana DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy, TGCSB Director Shikha Goel, TFCC President D. Suresh Babu, Honorary Secretary K. Ashok Kumar, Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju, and leading producers and Anti-Video Piracy Cell members.
