Temporary Pause for the ‘Soggade’ Franchise

One of the biggest hits in Soggade Chinni Nayana star Akkineni Nagarjuna’s career was directed by Kalyan Krishna. The film later had a sequel titled Bangarraju, which featured both Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya in key roles. Although it didn’t match the original’s success, it performed well at the box office.

Recently, there were strong reports that Kalyan Krishna was planning another film in the same franchise with Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, and Akhil Akkineni, aiming for a Sankranti release next year. However, sources reveal that the story narrated to the actors did not fully impress them, leading to the project being shelved. Currently, Nagarjuna is working on King 100, Naga Chaitanya is busy with Vrushakarma, and Akhil recently scored a blockbuster with Lenin.
