Telangana High Court expresses anger at the Akhanda 2 producers

The Telangana High Court expressed strong displeasure over the hike in Akhanda 2 ticket prices. The court questioned the producers and BookMyShow, asking how tickets were still being sold online despite its earlier orders. The High Court also scrutinized BookMyShow’s explanation that “audiences had already booked tickets before the court’s directives”.

The court demanded clarity on whether the tickets were being sold at the increased rates and questioned why its orders were not followed. It further warned, stating, “Explain why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against you”.
