Telangana Film Journalists Condemn Trolls Over ‘Idupu Kayitham’

The Telangana Film Journalists Association has strongly condemned the abusive comments and social media trolling targeting the title of the film ‘Idupu Kayitham.’ The association stated that insulting the Telangana language, dialect, and culture is not merely criticism of a film title but an attack on the dignity and identity of the region. While respecting freedom of expression, it emphasized that remarks promoting regional disrespect are unacceptable.

The association urged both the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce to issue official statements supporting the dignity of the Telangana language. It also appealed to Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and the Telangana Jana Sena leadership to respond and promote respect for Telangana’s language and culture. The association warned that it would continue to stand against any future attempts to insult Telangana’s cultural identity.
