Telangana Exhibitors Discuss Percentage System After Peddi Release

Telangana exhibitors have once again initiated discussions on introducing the percentage-sharing system in theatres following the release of Peddi. According to industry sources, a group of exhibitors recently met Megastar Chiranjeevi to discuss the issue. It is learnt that he requested them to allow him a week's time before any further discussions or decisions are made.

Meanwhile, several active producers have reportedly urged exhibitors to postpone the implementation of the percentage system for at least another one and a half years. With differing opinions emerging from various sections of the industry, exhibitors are now evaluating two possible options—introducing the percentage-sharing model or revising theatre rental charges. A final decision is expected after further consultations.
