Actress Tabu has expressed strong concern over society’s excessive focus on actresses’ age rather than their achievements. In a recent interview, she said women in the film industry are often judged more for their age than their success. Tabu added that while women openly accept aging, the outside world continues to overanalyze it, which is unfair and frustrating.
She further remarked that people worry more about one’s age than the individuals themselves, comparing it to unnecessary external pressure. Tabu also spoke about her honest approach to rejecting films, stating that she clearly expresses if she does not like a script instead of making excuses. Currently, her film Bhool Bhulaiyaa is receiving good response, and she is also part of upcoming projects including Slum Dog alongside Vijay Sethupathi and a key role in Nagarjuna’s 100th film.
