Kollywood star Suriya and director Venky Atluri are coming together for the upcoming film Vishwanath & Sons, which is scheduled for a grand theatrical release this Friday. Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead in the film. The Telugu pre-release event was held in Hyderabad, where Suriya opened up about his association with Venky and revealed an interesting detail about a project they had discussed earlier.
Suriya said that after watching Venky Atluri’s Lucky Baskhar, he would have readily agreed to work on any story presented by the filmmaker. He also revealed that Venky had approached him much earlier with a biopic script. However, the project did not move forward due to various reasons. The revelation has now sparked curiosity among fans about the personality whose life Venky had planned to bring to the screen with Suriya. According to the discussion surrounding the project, Venky eventually felt that taking up another period-based story could make his filmography appear repetitive, especially after his previous two films explored period settings. At the same time, Suriya was interested in doing a clean family entertainer. These factors ultimately led the duo to move away from the biopic and develop Vishwanath & Sons. The upcoming film is now being positioned as a fresh collaboration between the actor and director, with audiences eagerly awaiting its theatrical release.
