Suriya Reveals Venky Atluri First Approached Him with a Biopic Script

Kollywood star Suriya and director Venky Atluri’s upcoming film Vishwanath & Sons is gearing up for a grand release this Friday. Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead in the film. At the Telugu pre-release event held in Hyderabad, Suriya spoke about his association with Venky and revealed that the director had approached him with a biopic script even before their current project.

Suriya said he was eager to work with Venky Atluri and would have agreed to any story he brought after the success of Lucky Baskhar. However, the earlier biopic project could not move forward due to various reasons. The revelation has now sparked curiosity among fans about whose life story Venky had planned to bring to the screen with Suriya. Reports suggest Venky eventually moved away from the biopic idea after considering the period settings of his recent films, while Suriya was also interested in doing a clean family entertainer. This led to the development of Vishwanath & Sons.
