Suriya in police avatar again.. Huge expectations among fans

Police-based films immediately remind audiences of Suriya’s iconic performances, especially the Singam series, which set a strong benchmark for cop roles after Ghajini in Telugu states. However, after Singam 3, Suriya stayed away from the police genre for quite some time.

Now, reports suggest that Suriya is all set to return as a police officer in his 47th film. The movie is being directed by Jithu Madhavan, who gained wide recognition with the Malayalam blockbuster Aavesham.

According to industry sources, Suriya will be seen as a “bad cop” in this film, presenting him in a more intense and unconventional police role. The makers are also planning a powerful promo cut, which is currently being shot and is expected to be released soon.

The film is currently being shot under the working title Suriya 47. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how Suriya impresses audiences once again in a police avatar.
