Suriya Hits a Rare ₹500 Crore Milestone

Suriya is reportedly enjoying a strong box-office run this year. His latest film Vishwanath and Sons, directed by Venky Atluri and featuring Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, has crossed a worldwide gross of ₹200 crore, according to the makers.

The film had generated mixed expectations before its release, but its performance during the opening week has reportedly exceeded expectations. The ₹200 crore milestone has now added another highlight to Suriya’s successful year.

With the collections of Karuppu/Veera Bhadrudu also taken into account, Suriya’s films this year have reportedly crossed the ₹500 crore mark. Trade circles expect the total collections of Vishwanath and Sons to rise further with its continued theatrical run.

The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar and is produced by Suriya, S. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya. The latest box-office milestone has given Suriya’s fans another reason to celebrate.
