

Actor Sunil, who started his career as a comedian and later earned recognition as a hero and villain, said that the role of Mangalam Srinu in ‘Pushpa’ completely changed his life. Speaking during the promotions of the Telugu version of his latest Malayalam film ‘Kattalan’, Sunil revealed that he himself was surprised when he was selected for the role. He added that the character opened doors for opportunities in multiple languages.
Sunil recalled that director Sukumar called him during the lockdown and explained the full-fledged villain role in ‘Pushpa’. He said Sukumar specifically asked him to avoid comedy expressions and act with minimal body movement. Sunil also revealed that he had to shave part of his forehead throughout the shoot for the character’s look. ‘Kattalan’, based on illegal ivory smuggling, Released today in Telugu.
