Sundeep Kishan’s Ambitious Film ‘Karikala’ Launched in Grand Style

Young actor Sundeep Kishan’s ambitious period fantasy film ‘Karikala’ has been launched in grand style. Produced jointly by Mahidhar Reddy and Rajasekhar Annabheemoju under the Shining Pictures banner, the film is directed by Yugandhar Muni and is being developed as a two-part cinematic spectacle. The grand muhurtham ceremony took place on October 15, 2026. Actresses Catherine Tresa, Gayathri Bharadwaj and Sakshi Madolkar were among the highlights of the event. Satyavathi, the mother of producer Rajasekhar, switched on the camera, while Padma Reddy, the mother of Mahidhar Reddy, sounded the clapboard. Actor Aadi Saikumar attended as the honorary director, and producer Veerabhadrachari presented the script to the team.

Speaking at the launch, Sundeep Kishan said he was introduced to the team through his friend Aadi Saikumar and was fascinated by the imaginative world envisioned by director Yugandhar Muni. He expressed confidence that ‘Karikala’ would become the best film of his career and praised music composer Sricharan Pakala for working on an impressive album. Director Yugandhar Muni revealed that the film would feature imaginative worlds inspired by realms such as the Nagaloka and Vanara Loka. Shooting is scheduled to begin next week. Blending fantasy and adventure, the film will be released in two parts, with the first chapter scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on July 2, 2027, and the second on October 28, 2027.
