Star Heroes Line Up for Sankranti

Sankranti has always been one of the biggest release seasons for Telugu cinema, attracting large numbers of family audiences to theatres. Several major films have already locked their release dates for Sankranti 2027. Chiranjeevi’s Kaka is scheduled for January 13, while the Venkatesh–Kalyan Ram starrer January 12 Release is set to arrive on January 12. Ravi Teja’s upcoming film with Hasith Goli, reportedly titled Dagudu Moothala Dandakoor, and Sharwanand–Sreenu Vaitla’s George Krish are both eyeing January 14 releases.

Meanwhile, Prasanth Varma’s cinematic universe film Mahakali is scheduled for January 8, while Sai Durgha Tej’s SYG is expected on January 12. There is also speculation that Nagarjuna’s King 100 and Balakrishna’s NBK 111 could target the Sankranti window. Rajinikanth’s Dharman is planned for Pongal, while the makers of Suriya’s Suriya 47 are also reportedly considering a Sankranti release. With several big names entering the race, Sankranti 2027 is shaping up to be a highly competitive festive season.
