Producer Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy said that “Sri Chidambaram Garu” is a feel good film that will appeal to audiences across all age groups. Presented by Chinta Varalakshmi under the Sri Chakras Entertainment banner, the film is produced by Chinta Vineesh Reddy and Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy, with Chinta Rajasekhar Reddy as co-producer. The film introduces Vinay Ratnam as director and stars Vamsi Thummala and Sandhya Vashishta in the lead roles. The movie is set to release on February 6.
Speaking about the film, the producer said the project was taken up to encourage new talent. The team worked relentlessly for nearly four years, initially starting the film as a crowd-funded project. Impressed by their dedication and the strength of the story, the producers decided to back the film. Shot extensively in the scenic Marredumilli region and Rajahmundry, the movie highlights the natural beauty of local locations. With no heavy action or loud drama, the film focuses on a calm, pleasant narrative meant to offer relaxation and emotional warmth to viewers.
The producer also revealed that the film has received a positive response at celebrity screenings, boosting the team’s confidence. The makers opted not to sell OTT rights before release, choosing instead to showcase the film’s content in theatres first. Overseas releases have also been planned following interest from international distributors. With affordable ticket pricing and strong production values, the team believes “Sri Chidambaram Garu” will stand out as a meaningful, content-driven film.
