Sirivennela Memorial Park in Anakapalle…Special event held

The foundation stone for the Sirivennela Sitaramasastri Memorial Park was laid at Gandhinagar, Anakapalle, by Legislative Council member K. Nagababu on the occasion of the poet’s 71st birth anniversary. The memorial is being developed with GVMC funds under the initiative of MLA Konathala Ramakrishna. Nagababu described Sirivennela as a legendary poet who earned more affection than wealth.

He said Sirivennela lived a life of service and humanity, always helping others but never seeking help himself. He was a person beyond caste and religious barriers who supported many people in need. During the event, a memorial award was presented to lyricist Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar.
