Siddharth Turns Emotional at Trailer Launch

Netflix has announced the release of Operation Safed Sagar, a war drama based on the Indian Air Force’s role during the 1999 Kargil War. Directed by Oni Sen, the series stars Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Dia Mirza, Prajakta Koli, and Abhay Verma in key roles. The much awaited series is scheduled to premiere on August 7 on Netflix.

The trailer was launched in the presence of real-life heroes and their families. Siddharth, who plays the role of martyr Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja, became emotional during the event. He said portraying a real life war hero was a great honour and admitted he was initially worried about doing justice to the role. He accepted the project only after receiving approval from Ajay Ahuja’s wife, Alka Ahuja. Fans also noticed Siddharth wearing a bandage on his hand, sparking concern about his health.
