Sandeep Reddy Vanga Expresses Wish to Direct Chiranjeevi in a Future Film

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who gained nationwide recognition with Arjun Reddy and Animal, is soon set to begin his next project Spirit with Prabhas. Even before the shoot began, social media was flooded with rumours claiming that Megastar Chiranjeevi would appear in the film as Prabhas’ father. However, in a recent promotional interview with the Jigris team, Sandeep dismissed these rumours outright.

But he shared one exciting piece of news for Megastar fans. Vanga said that he genuinely wishes to capture Chiranjeevi through his lens and would definitely try to make a standalone film with him in the future. His admiration for the actor is well-known; he even keeps a photo of Chiranjeevi’s iconic “Puliraju” look from Aaradhana in his office. A previous clip where Vanga explained Chiranjeevi’s outfits and expressions from Master also went viral.

As for Chiranjeevi, after Vishwambhara, he will move on to Bobby’s film and later to Srikanth Odela’s mass action drama. By the time these projects are completed—likely around 2027—Sandeep Reddy Vanga may be free after wrapping up Spirit. That’s when a combination between the two may realistically happen. Though nothing is confirmed yet, fans continue to hope that a Chiranjeevi–Vanga film becomes a reality soon.
