Actress Sameera Reddy once again expressed her admiration for South Indian cinema while speaking about her early career experiences in a recent interview. She revealed that when she was busy with Hindi films in the beginning of her career, some members of her team advised her not to work in South Indian films. Sameera recalled that there was a misconception at the time that only actors without opportunities in Hindi cinema moved towards the South film industry.
However, respecting her South Indian roots, she ignored such opinions and chose to work with stars like Jr NTR, Chiranjeevi, Suriya, and Ajith. She said it was a matter of pride for her family, especially her father. Sameera also noted that many leading Bollywood actresses are now eager to work in South Indian films. She praised South filmmakers for taking creative risks and trying new ideas, which keeps their films technically strong and ahead in action and storytelling. She is now set to return to the screen with the film ‘Aakhri Sawal’ alongside Sanjay Dutt.
