Sai Rajesh’s recent comments on the current state of the Telugu film industry have sparked widespread discussion. He pointed out that despite good content, audiences are increasingly staying away from theatres. He also highlighted the growing influence of social media trends, YouTube views, and digital promotions on a film’s success, stating that these factors often distort the true measure of audience reception.
Speaking at the teaser launch of Summer Holidays, produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni, Sai Rajesh expressed concern over the manipulation of online metrics. He noted that artificial hype has taken precedence over genuine content, making it difficult for audiences to identify quality films. He also made notable remarks about his blockbuster Baby, stating that if released today, it might not achieve the same level of success, further intensifying the debate across the industry.
