Relief for Akhanda–2 producers in the High Court

In the Akhanda 2 ticket pricing issue, the producers received temporary relief from the Division Bench. The Bench suspended the Single Judge’s order that had struck down the government GO permitting the ticket price hike. With this, the GO is technically back in effect, allowing the increased prices to continue for now.

However, the final decision on ticket rates is still pending. Until then, the High Court is continuing hearings to seek complete clarity from the producers, BookMyShow, and the state government. Further sessions are expected in the coming days to examine compliance with court orders, online ticket sales, and the status of the revised pricing.
