Ravi reveals the real story behind the names iBomma and Bappam

Hyderabad: The full form of iBomma is ‘Internet Bomma’, according to Immedi Ravi, who was arrested in this case. He told the police that in Visakhapatnam, they used to refer to movies as “Bomma”. He also revealed that they initially wanted to name another website ‘Balapam’. However, due to a technical issue with the domain, theyn removed the letter ‘L’ and changed it to ‘Bappam’.

Today marks the completion of the accused’s second round of custody. As part of this, the police questioned him for three days. Ravi explained to the police about the advanced technology used in piracy. Afterwards, he was produced before the court.
