Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has begun shooting for his next ambitious project, ‘Pralay’, following the success of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. The post-apocalyptic survival thriller went on floors in Mumbai on Sunday, with the makers filming across live locations in and around the city. The project is already generating curiosity because of its large scale and unusual storyline.
The film is directed by Jai Mehta, known for acclaimed series such as ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’ and ‘Lootere’. Jai, son of filmmaker Hansal Mehta, has reportedly been working on the story for several years. Malayalam actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, known for ‘Loka’, is also part of the cast in a key role.
Set against a collapsing world, the story revolves around survival, courage and a fight for things that are considered valuable. The film is reportedly being made on a massive budget of around ₹300 crore. The makers are yet to announce the official release date.
