The runtime of Ranabaali, the upcoming period action drama starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, has reportedly been finalised at 170 minutes. This means audiences can expect a theatrical experience lasting approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes. Set in the 1870s, the film explores the Madras famine and the resistance of local people against British rule.
Despite the extended runtime, the makers are reportedly confident that the screenplay will keep audiences engaged through its emotional moments, historical setting and action sequences. Vijay Deverakonda plays the titular role, while Rashmika Mandanna appears as Jayamma. Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo plays a key antagonist. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan and jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series, Ranabaali is scheduled for a pan-India theatrical release on October 16 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
