One of the most talked about upcoming stars in Telugu cinema is Bhagyashri Borse. She has already secured several projects in various languages since making her debut with Mr. Bachchan last year. Her charm and increasing popularity have kept her firmly in the spotlight, making her one of the most promising newcomers in the South film industry, despite Mr. Bachchan and Kingdom's poor box office performance.
Kaantha, a Tamil period thriller set in a Madras film studio from the 1950s, is her upcoming major release. Samuthirakani and Bhagyashri play important roles in the Spirit Media and Wayfarer Films production, which stars Dulquer Salmaan and is produced by Rana Daggubati. Kaantha, whose trailer was recently launched in Hyderabad, is set to hit theatres on November 14 and is directed by Selvamani Selvaraj. Rana shared that Kaantha was originally supposed to be her debut movie before production delays changed the schedule, and that Bhagyashri was selected following over a hundred auditions.
Dulquer Salmaan echoed Rana's remarks when he said that the Kaantha team took pride in identifying Bhagyashri's talent at an early age and was the ones who initially discovered her. Bhagyashri, for her part, was thrilled about the movie and referred to it as a pivotal moment in her career. She added that Kaantha has given her the opportunity to demonstrate her full potential, saying, "What people have seen so far is just a glimpse of what I can do." She will next be seen in Andhra King Taluka, which comes out on November 28, and Lenin, which stars Akhil Akkineni.
