The Telangana Exhibitors Association has taken a key decision stating that all films, including Ram Charan’s upcoming movie Peddi, will be screened in theatres only if a percentage-based revenue model is agreed upon. The association clarified that no film will be allowed for screening in Telangana without agreeing to their percentage demand. They further stated that this rule will be applicable to all future releases without exception.
Meanwhile, Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana and starring Ram Charan, is a rural sports action drama produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, presented by Vriddhi Cinemas. Scheduled for a worldwide release on June 4, the film features Ram Charan as a multi-talented athlete excelling in cricket, wrestling, and running. The trailer highlights a gripping narrative where the protagonist rises as a village hero but faces resistance from a dominant group, setting up a strong sports and social conflict drama.
