Ram Charan, whose latest pan-India sports drama Peddi continues its successful run at the box office, recently participated as a special guest at the prestigious Summit 2026 held in New Delhi. Organized under the theme “Great Power India: Nation First,” the event featured a special interaction between Ram Charan and journalist Arnab Goswami. During the discussion, the actor spoke not only about cinema but also about issues affecting moviegoers across the country.
Addressing the challenges faced by family audiences, Ram Charan highlighted the rising prices of food and beverages in multiplex theatres. He stated that cinema remains one of the most affordable forms of entertainment for middle-class families in India, but excessive prices for popcorn, soft drinks, and snacks have become a major concern. According to him, many people are hesitant to visit theatres because of these additional expenses. He suggested that reducing food and beverage prices would make the overall movie-watching experience more enjoyable and encourage more audiences to return to theatres.
