

The small-budget yet heartwarming film “Raju Weds Rambayi” is creating waves across the Telugu states. This village love story, directed by newcomer Sailu Kampati, has particularly connected with the youth. Starring Akhil Raj and Tejaswini Rao in their debut roles, both delivered passionate performances despite it being their first film. Chaitanya Jonnalagadda, the brother of Siddu Jonnalagadda, plays the villain, and his performance is being highlighted as a major strength of the film. Released on November 21, the movie has received superhit talk from the very first show, surpassing expectations at the box office, and has already earned over ₹14 crores despite its modest budget.
Based on a real-life incident in Khammam district’s Yellandu village, the film showcases Sailu Kampati’s unique directing and filmmaking style, which has captured the audience’s attention. While the theatrical run continues to be houseful, fans are eagerly awaiting the film on OTT platforms. In an interesting update, the digital streaming rights of the movie have been acquired by the prominent OTT platform ETV Win. However, the film is set to release on OTT 50 days after its theatrical release, which means it is expected to be available for streaming by the second week of January.
