Director S.S. Rajamouli, who took Indian cinema to the global stage with Baahubali, has shared an important update about the upcoming animated project Baahubali: Eternal War. Although there were widespread reports that he would direct the project himself, Rajamouli clarified that he has entrusted the responsibility to another filmmaker. He believes animation is the ideal medium to expand the Baahubali universe on a much grander scale.
Rajamouli revealed that director Ishaan Shukla deeply understood the emotions and character depth of the story, making him the right choice for the project. He added that animation provides endless creative possibilities to showcase Indian culture, vibrant visuals, and a rich fantasy world beyond the limits of live-action filmmaking. The project aims to introduce the Baahubali universe to audiences of all ages across the world through a fresh and visually spectacular experience.
