Pushpa, Peddi, The Paradise: Three Films, One Common Theme

The Telugu film industry has been exploring ambitious pan-India projects with distinctive themes and larger-than-life storytelling. Among the films that have attracted attention in recent years, Pushpa, Ram Charan’s Peddi and Nani’s upcoming The Paradise have an interesting thematic connection. According to the creative teams, the central idea in all three stories involves a struggle for recognition, whether it concerns an individual, a place or an entire community.

Pushpa introduced audiences to the journey of a man seeking respect and recognition in his world, while Peddi is presented with a different narrative and setting built around its own struggle for identity. The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela, is also said to revolve around a fight for recognition. Despite the similarities in the broad theme, the three films have distinct narratives, characters and filmmaking approaches. Another interesting coincidence is that their titles begin with the same Telugu letter ‘Pa’ sound: Pushpa, Peddi and Paradise. The Paradise is scheduled to release on September 24, and audiences will soon see how its story and execution are received.
