Profits for Viswanath and Sons Even Before Release?

Starring Suriya in the lead and Mamitha Baiju in a key role, ‘Viswanath and Sons’ is reportedly making headlines with its strong pre-release business. Produced under the Sithara Entertainments banner, the film has already generated positive buzz through its trailer and songs. The movie is said to have been made on a budget of around ₹130 crore, while its theatrical rights were reportedly sold for ₹90 crore. Trade reports also suggest that its digital, satellite and audio rights have fetched around ₹125 crore.

Based on these figures, the film’s total pre-release business is reportedly around ₹215 crore. This would translate into an estimated table profit of nearly ₹85 crore for the producers even before its theatrical release. The project has become another significant production for Sithara Entertainments, led by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi. Following the strong box-office performance of the banner’s recent film ‘Lenin’, expectations are now high to see whether ‘Viswanath and Sons’ can deliver a similar success at the box office.
