Santhana Prapthirasthu, starring Vikranth Reddy and Chandini Chowdary, directed by Sanjeev Reddy, is all set for release on November 14. The recently released trailer created strong buzz with witty dialogues and meme-worthy moments that resonated on social media.
During a press meet, producer Madhura Sreedhar Reddy expressed his happiness over the film’s early response but also made a special request to reviewers.
He said, “Usually, I screen my movies for media and industry members before release. Some didn’t laugh because they’ve seen such content many times. But when I watched the same scenes in theaters with general audiences, they laughed heartily even at small moments. That’s why I request reviewers to watch the movie from the audience’s perspective, not just critically.”
He added, “We’ve already passed the audience test; now we need to pass the reviewer test too. It’s a small, meaningful, concept-driven film — please review it with that in mind.”
Director Sanjeev Reddy humorously added, “If you liked the film, write one extra line in the review. If there’s something you didn’t like, just write one line less!”
Santhana Prapthirasthu will clash with other big releases like the re-release of Ram Gopal Varma’s Shiva and Dulquer Salmaan’s Kaantha (produced by Rana Daggubati). It remains to be seen how this small yet strong-content film performs amid the competition.
