Celebrating the grand success of The Girlfriend, the film’s producers hosted a success meet attended by prominent personalities from the Telugu film industry. Among the guests, actor Vijay Deverakonda’s presence added special charm to the evening.
Speaking at the event, producer Bunny Vaas expressed heartfelt gratitude to Vijay and said, “For everyone, he’s Vijay Deverakonda, but for us, he’s Bangaru Konda (Golden Hill).” He added that Vijay’s warm gesture of attending the event with a personal connection to Geetha Arts showed his affection and respect for the banner.
Produced under the Geetha Arts banner, presented by Allu Aravind, The Girlfriend released on November 7 and has been receiving an overwhelming response from audiences for its emotional storytelling, relatable characters, and strong performances.
Bunny Vaas also praised the film’s leading lady Rashmika Mandanna, stating that her performance in the climax has become one of the film’s major highlights. “Her acting in the final moments of the film moved everyone — I had said earlier that the climax would connect deeply with audiences, and that prediction came true,” he remarked.
Appreciating director Rahul Ravindran’s dedication, Bunny Vaas said, “Every successful film is the result of teamwork, but there’s always one person who gives their everything. For this film, Rahul stood firm with his vision and sincerity, and that has made all the difference.”
He further commended actor Dikshit Shetty for his performance, noting that his character has become a topic of conversation among moviegoers. “The way audiences are reacting to his role shows how powerfully he has delivered his part,” Bunny Vaas said with a smile.
Sharing a lighthearted moment, he mentioned watching the film with his wife: “After the film, she put her hand on my shoulder and walked me out — that’s when I felt I must be a really good husband!”
The producer concluded his speech by extending his wishes to the entire team of The Girlfriend for taking the film to great heights and thanked the audience for their immense love and support.
