

The 70th Filmfare Awards ceremony was held grandly in Kochi on Saturday. Among the Telugu releases this year, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ emerged as the biggest winner, securing the highest number of awards across major categories. The film won the Best Film award, while Sukumar received the Best Director award for the same project. Allu Arjun bagged the Best Actor in a Leading Role award for his performance in ‘Pushpa 2’.
In the Critics category, ‘Lucky Baskhar’ was honored as Best Film (Critics). Teja Sajja won the Best Actor (Critics) award for ‘Hanu-Man’. Nivetha Thomas was awarded Best Actress for ‘35 Chinna Katha Kaadu’, while Kajal Aggarwal won Best Actress (Critics) for ‘Satyabhama’.
Amitabh Bachchan received the Best Supporting Actor award for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, and Anjali was named Best Supporting Actress for ‘Gangs of Godavari’. In the music categories, Devi Sri Prasad won Best Music Album for ‘Pushpa 2’. Ramajogayya Sastry received the Best Lyrics award for the song ‘Chuttamalle’ from ‘Devara: Part 1’, and Shilpa Rao won Best Female Playback Singer for the same track.
Sri Krishna was awarded Best Male Playback Singer for ‘Kurchi Madathapetti’ from ‘Guntur Kaaram’, while Sekhar Master won Best Choreography for the same song.
Among the debut categories, Yadu Vamsi won Best Debut Director, and Sandeep Saroj received Best Debut Actor for ‘Committee Kurrollu’. Nayan Sarika was honored as Best Debut Actress for ‘Gam Gam Ganesh’.
Nitin Zihani Choudhary won Best Production Design for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, while Ramakrishna and Monika from ‘Pushpa 2’ also received special recognition.
This year’s awards once again highlighted the strength and diversity of Telugu cinema.
