Kannada film Premada Oorali has emerged as the latest box office sensation in Sandalwood. The film had little buzz before its release, but its appealing content and relatable storytelling have surprised audiences and turned it into a major commercial success. Set against a rural backdrop, the movie explores family relationships through a simple and engaging narrative. Although it opened to a slow start, positive word of mouth helped it gain momentum, with collections growing significantly each day.
With its latest collections, Premada Oorali is expected to cross the ₹50 crore mark in Karnataka and is on course to become the state’s highest-grossing film of 2026, potentially overtaking Toxic, which has reportedly collected around ₹80 crore. What makes the film’s performance particularly remarkable is its reported budget of just ₹2 crore. Strong support from family audiences has further boosted its theatrical run, and its final box office total remains difficult to predict. Directed by Manoj Kumar, the film features Ranganaya Raghu, Shree Raam, Thapaswini Poonacha and Ramika Shivu in pivotal roles.
