Preethi Mukundan’s craze continues despite early flops

Young actress Preethi Mukundan, despite having acted in only a few films, has quickly built a strong fan base. Even though her initial two films failed at the box office, her popularity has not declined. With her looks and acting skills, she continues to receive opportunities across Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam industries, especially alongside star heroes. Her recent film Blast turned out to be a super hit, and her action sequences received widespread appreciation. Riding on this success, she is now playing a key role in the upcoming Kollywood film Idhayam Murali, starring Atharvaa Murali with Kayadu Lohar as the female lead. Directed by Akash Bhaskaran and featuring music by SS Thaman, the film is scheduled for a grand worldwide release on July 10. During promotions, Preethi shared that this is the first film she signed after her viral music video Aasa Kooda, which brought her major recognition. She also revealed that the film fulfills her long-time dream of acting in a romantic comedy, where her role has two contrasting shades and the story appeals to all age groups.
