Director Prashanth Varma, known for delivering unique and impactful films, has seen his demand rise significantly after the success of HanuMan. Despite the controversies surrounding his upcoming projects, he continues to maintain clarity about his filmmaking process. Speaking at IFFI Goa, Prashanth emphasized the importance of allowing enough time for post-production, especially in an era where producers often struggle to control release dates.
He explained that a film’s quality depends heavily on giving VFX teams sufficient time or investing in top-tier studios. Reflecting on earlier challenges, Prashanth shared that he now includes a clause in his agreements ensuring he decides the release date. Once the shoot is completed, he prefers having ample time to “cook” the film properly in post-production, and his producers have been supportive of this approach.
