Actor, director and choreographer Prabhu Deva is reportedly exploring an opportunity to return to Telugu cinema as a director. His last Telugu directorial venture was Shankar Dada Zindabad, starring Chiranjeevi, released in 2007. He subsequently focused on Tamil and Hindi films, directing commercially successful projects such as Wanted and Dabangg 3, featuring Salman Khan. After concentrating more on acting in recent years, Prabhu Deva is now reportedly interested in returning to Telugu filmmaking.
Industry sources suggest that Prabhu Deva is in discussions with a prominent Telugu star for a potential project. Story discussions are reportedly underway, and an official announcement could follow if the project moves forward. His signature mass-oriented storytelling, fast-paced action sequences and distinctive choreography could be major attractions for Telugu audiences. However, the name of the lead actor, the production house and other project details have not yet been officially revealed. If finalised, the project could mark an important return for Prabhu Deva as a director in Telugu cinema.
