Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has once again found himself at the center of political debate following a key appointment. The government has named renowned cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa as the Chairman of the Tamil Nadu MGR Film and Television Institute, with official orders already issued.
The appointment has triggered political reactions, with opposition parties alleging that Vijay is offering important positions to his close associates, as Manoj Paramahamsa worked on films like Nanban, Beast, and Leo starring Vijay. However, TVK supporters and government sources have defended the decision, stating that it was made purely based on the cinematographer's professional excellence and industry experience.
Manoj Paramahamsa is an alumnus of the MGR Film and Television Institute and has built a successful career in Indian cinema. After assisting cinematographer S. Saravanan on several films, he gained recognition as an independent cinematographer with Eeram in 2009. Officials believe his experience and technical expertise will help provide world-class training to students at the institute.
