The upcoming film Parasakthi features Sivakarthikeyan and Sreeleela as the lead pair, with Ravi Mohan and Atharvaa playing crucial roles. The film is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sudha Kongara, known for her powerful storytelling. Slated for a worldwide theatrical release on January 10 as a Sankranti festive offering, the makers released the Tamil trailer on Sunday night, while the Telugu version is expected to be unveiled shortly.
Set against the backdrop of 1937 Madras Presidency, Parasakthi is based on the historic agitation opposing the imposition of Hindi during the pre-Independence era. Sivakarthikeyan is portrayed as a thoughtful and composed college student, while Atharvaa plays a hot-headed character driven by rage and rebellion. Ravi Mohan appears as a ruthless police officer, and Sreeleela essays the role of a college employee. The trailer has drawn attention for its intense tone and realistic depiction of the socio-political climate of the time. Adding to the excitement, Rana Daggubati and Basil Joseph will be seen in special guest appearances.
