Ram Charan’s film Orange is all set for another theatrical re-release on February 7, and the response has been phenomenal. Not just fans, but movie lovers are rushing to theatres, with early morning shows getting sold out in several single-screen theatres in Hyderabad. Cities like Vizag and Vijayawada are also witnessing a similar trend, proving that the film’s craze remains intact despite multiple re-releases in a short span.
Released after the industry hit Magadheera, Orange carried huge expectations and was produced by Nagababu with a big budget under the direction of Bommarillu Bhaskar. While the songs by Harris Jayaraj became chartbusters before release, the film failed at the box office initially and resulted in losses. Over time, the movie gained popularity through television and home video platforms, especially among youth, and developed a cult following. Today, Orange stands as a classic example of how changing trends and audience perception can redefine a film’s fate.
