“The characters I play in films should not carry my personal identity. As an actor, I must step into the role without bringing my own personality into it. Only when I keep myself aside can I attempt experimental and fresh roles. Movies like Mallesham, Balagam, and Court came to me for the same reason. Some people say they want to make a film in ‘my style,’ but I honestly don’t have a fixed style. Whatever new story you bring me—that becomes my style,” he said.
Priyadarshi and Anandi play the lead roles in ‘Premante..’ with Suma Kanakala in a key role. Directed by Navaneeth Sriram and produced by Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and Janhvi Narang under Rana Spirit Media, the film is releasing today (Friday).
Highlights from Priyadarshi’s press meet:
⇒ “Before every film release, I feel the same tension. Just like a farmer waits for rain, I wait for the film’s result,” he said with a smile.
⇒ “This movie shows the changes that come after a love marriage. Many films explored marriage, but what matters is when, how, and from what perspective we tell the story. Our narrative will feel relatable to everyone.”
⇒ “My character in this film is slightly different. Anandi is a very good performer and highly professional. I learned a lot from Suma. Navaneeth is a director with strong clarity. He wrote this story with maturity. The producers also supported us well.”
⇒ “The audience gave me the identity of choosing unique and meaningful films. I want my producers to be safe and not face losses. Darling was a profitable venture. Sarngapani, Darling, and Mithramandali might not have done well in theatres for various reasons, but that doesn’t mean I’m a ‘cast-failure’ hero.”
⇒ “Currently, I am working on Asamarthudu and Suyodhana,” Priyadarshi added.
